I have a question regarding Chlymidea infection in women.
Is it possible for a woman to develop a ectopic pregnancy if she contracted the chlymidea infection from the same instance of sex as resulted in fertilization? Or would the infection not be present and active in her system quickly enough to cause an ectopic pregnancy prior to the egg being fertilized?

genital infections if recurrent or chronic are known to cause complications like ectopic pregnancy.it is not the organism which causes ectopic it is the structural damage of repoductive organs like adhesions/ tubal damage etc which lead to ectopic pregnancy and is not that common as not all couples with infection have ectopic .
