Hi My son is 11 months old and weighs 8kg, 200 grams. Is this weight ok at this age, or is he underweight? He has started eating solid foods, what can i add to his diet to increase his weight? He also  does not want to drink water. I have tried everything starting from sugar and palm candy(mishri). Have tried bottle, spoonbowl everything. How can i make him drink water?

Dear parents,        At one year baby should be 3times the birth weight.        From 8am to 8pm stop milk & give semi solid diet like Dal, dalia, khichdi, rice, alu, kela, apple, upaama, halwa, patoliya, raab, kadi, idle, poha etc. In milk there is 80% water so child do not drink water but when you stop milk & give semi solid diet, he start drinking water.    100ml milk gives 70 calories of energy. 100gm food gives 350 calories of energy. 100ml juices gives 55 calories of energy. So start giving semi solid diet.
