Chances of pregnancy
My girlfriend and I had unprotected intercourse on 2nd February 2025, but she has not taken any emergency contraception. Her last period started on 9th January 2025, and the one before that was around 11th or 12th December 2024. Based on her cycle, she was expecting her period today or tomorrow, but we are concerned about a possible delay.
We would like to understand:
Should she take any medication or emergency contraception at this stage?
At what point should we take a pregnancy test if her period is delayed?
Are there any immediate steps we should follow?
We are feeling quite stressed about this situation and would really appreciate your guidance at the earliest.

Her LMP was 9 January.
Date of intercourse is 2 February.
It was about 9 days after the date of ovulation. In that case the chances of pregnancy are very low.
Please do a urine pregnancy test today if she hasn't had her periods so far.

Always better to use protection rather than emergency contraception...as name suggest it's only for emergency.

Since the day one of her last period was 9th of January you are advised to wait till 10th of February and do a pregnancy test in Case she skips her periods
