Hi, i just wanted to know that are there any chances to diagnos with cancer in future if mother had cancer?
Because ome of my friend few days back took anti cancer vacination.
Actually my mother had cancer 5 yrs back and 3years back she passed away because of the last stage of cancer.
And we are two sisters and a brother and i am little scared if we get in the future.
So please if anyone could guide me on this 1. If there are chances of getting cancer
2. If yes, then how can we get rid of it or how can we help ourselves to get over this
It would be a great help if anyone could help.
Or there is something that can reduce the chances of getting this deadly disease.

Genetic risk of cancer is only 10percent.
It's mainly in few cancers especially breast, ovarian and colon cancers
Would like to know what cancer your mother had?
Also you can meet genetic counsellor and do genetic testing (done at few reputed labs) to check whether you are prone to have that same or any other cancers..
