Chance of normal delivery
I'm 39 weeks + 3 days pregnant with a low-risk pregnancy and baby in cephalic position. My ultrasound 2 days ago showed cervical length around 4 cm, but my cervix is soft. My doctor advised waiting 4 more days before considering induction. Is there still a chance that my cervix can efface naturally and I can go into labor for a normal vaginal delivery?”

In first pregnancy it does take time.....
But if everything is normal then yes you can wait.....just be mindful of fetal movements

Good to hear that everything is normal till now, and hence there is a fair chance of going into natural labor and normal vaginal delivery.
The cervix is soft means it is getting ready for delivery, it is a good sign
