Cancer in epiglottis
My father qas diagnosed with cancer in the month of march'22. Radiation therapy was started in april and till then he took 35 settings of radiation. Now 6 weeks have completed after radiation, but he ia suffering from excessive mucus problem where blood clotting is also seen. Yeaterday night there was a lot of blood bleeding through his nose. Why this is happening. Is this somw side effect to dealt with or he is suffering from something else. Please suggest. Help me to understand the situation.

Excessive mucus deu to side effects of radiation, it will be alright in some weeks. But bleeding from nose is not common, it have to investigate more. 6 week complete of radiation, so do follow up CT SCAN and ENT specialist examination is needed for bleeding.
