Can oral thrush happen in babies, and how can it be cured
Asked for , 0 Years
Hello, I am a 26 year old woman and I am soon to be married. I came across a disease called oral thrush yesterday which looks like a fungus infection which I think is caused due to eating dirty food and objects from the ground. But the same should not be true for small babies dependent on their mothers. My question is can oral thrush happen in babies, and how can it be cured?

Oral thrush can happen in small babies if the baby has been given antibiotics or if the mother has had antibiotics and has been breastfeeding the baby. Antibiotics can harm the good bacteria also and cause a yeast infection ( oral thrush) to develop. It is seen as a white curd like coating on the baby’s tongue or mouth
