My aunt is diagnosed with rectal cancer, I have attached her MRI and biopsy report
Her Ct chest and abdomen are normal. She wanted to know if she has to do all three chemotherapy radiotherapy and a surgery or can she skip chemo or radio as it is an early lesion. Also what surgery would you suggest the best, and for how long will she require a colostomy bag

She has regional lymph nodes. Hence it would be best to give chemo and radiotherapy first and then surgery.
Since lesion is higher up, then surgery should be anterior resection.
Colostomy bag would be temporary after surgery.
