Calcium Supplement in Pregnancy
My wife is currently in her third trimester of pregnancy. Since the second trimester, she has been prescribed one Vehycal tablet daily (providing 73 mg of elemental calcium) as a calcium supplement. However, most guidelines recommend a daily calcium intake of around 1,000 mg for pregnant women. Is this supplementation sufficient?
