If baby has burped on its own there is no need to take extra efforts to burp ..you can keep down....also conversely after 10-15 minutes of burping time baby has not burped then also if comfortable you can keep the baby down if baby has slept till that time.. don't force burping as some small amount the baby must have burped or passed gas. ..if baby is uncomfortable then you can make the baby prone like a koala and give small taps on back to pasa gas

If your baby burps immediately after you put her on the shoulder, you can:
1) Wait for 1–2 minutes more
2) If no second burp comes and baby looks comfortable, you can stop and let her sleep.
You do NOT need to continue burping for a long time if:
Baby already burped
She looks relaxed
No discomfort
No excessive spitting
## General Burping Guidance
Usually 5–10 minutes is enough.
Some babies burp quickly.
Some don’t burp at all — and that is also normal.
If baby:
Becomes fussy
Arches back
Pulls legs up
Spits up frequently
Then keep upright for 15–20 minutes after feeding.
