I understand your concern. It often takes time for babies to switch from breastfeeding to cow’s milk and other feeds, so patience and consistency are very important. If you haven’t already started, slowly introduce complementary feeds. At your baby’s age, at least three to four complementary feeds a day are recommended. Begin with small, soft options like daliya, khichdi, or mashed foods. If you wish to introduce cow’s milk, make sure it is pasteurized and do not add water to it. Try not to exceed 300 ml per day, as that is sufficient for the baby. When babies are given more milk, they often eat less solid food, which we want to avoid. It’s natural for the baby to sometimes refuse or cry for milk, but staying consistent is important. With time and determination, your baby will gradually adapt to the new feeding routine.

Going through ur concern- I can’t understand- for who’s health issues you want to stop breast milk? Breast milk is her right to receive- and from 6 months onwards- u should have to start complementary feeding- starting with mashed ripe fruits like banana-fruit juices- dalia - khichri- day by day increasing the amount and frequency- to target at 18-24 months- baby can take normal home made food for all. Day by day amount of milk requirements is less - and mostly sufficient from mother is from her side no medical contraindications- other than human- no animal try other milk to her babies rather adjust day by day food that adults take- so human are so intelligent and advanced?!

We can start cow's milk from one year of age and complementary feeding should have started by 6 completed months. However, breastfeeding can be continued till 2 years of age as it has DHA which helps in brain's development.
