Hi doctor,
My friend has recently become mother. Her baby boy is 10 days old. She faced few covid symptoms and so did corona test. She is waiting for her report. Wanted to ask if she can still breast feed her baby and can touch him? If not then how to feed her baby? Please help..

Even if she s positive but not severely sick she can isolate with the baby and continue breastfeeding with mask on and washing hands before and after feeding.
Only if she is breathless or she s severely symptomatic requiring hospital admission then she can avoid breastfeeding and formula feeds can be given to the child till mother is in hospital.
