Breastfeeding experience
My son 6 months 25 days old since he turns 6 month old he is been breastfeeding while lying down. Whole day whenever I feed him I am sitting and I feed him. But only in the night he wants to have feed while laying down. He gets his feed and turn to sleep on sides. Does it cause any problems?

This behavior at night is to get satisfaction & security rather than nutrition. So you can make him cling to you even without feeding . This is the way to give him security & avoid the habit

To prevent aspiration it is better to feed in an upright position . Since the child is 6 months old it is better to start Complementary feeding in addition to  continuing Breast milk . But maintain cleanliness while preparing the food for the child   to prevent infection               You can start with Rice/Rava/Or raghi Kanjee. gradually increase the consistency from liquid to semisolid to solid By end of one year the child can be given food from family diet  You can give fruits ,fruit juice etc in small quantities     .Do not start too many new items at a time Start gradually, giving enough time for the child to adjust to new taste and texture

Yes , lying down while feeding comes with its problems. The milk can go into his Eustachian tube and infect his middle ear.
Next Steps
While feeding him in lying posture , you can put a pillow below his head so that the head is higher than the rest of the body.

You can feed him lying down as long as you are awake. For him it's a comfortable position as he can go off to sleep while feeding.

Usually it won't cause any problem while feeding in lying down position ,but you have to to be conscious while feeding him in lying down position so that his nose is not obstructed by the breast

The best practice is to feed the baby in sitting posture with the trunk of the baby down and head up. Better avoid breast feeding in sleeping position.
Next Steps
Do burp the baby after feeding on breast.

Dear parents, Feeding while laying down is no problem only keep the baby head 30degree above ground while feeding ,can be done using one ones arm. As your child has crossed 6th month. According to me stop milk from 8amto8pm and give semisolid diet like Dal,dalia, khicdi alu kela rice, apple, upama, halwa, patolia, rab, kadi idle poha satu custard etc and from 80pmto8am give mother milk is preferable
