Breakthrough before period

Asked for Female, 25 Years

I have been on the same birth control for the past 3-4 years. My period is very regular. Other than my birth control I have not had any other protection for the past 1 and a half years with my boyfriend of 2 years so far. I am not scheduled to get my period until Sunday night but something is off. On Monday night I had a dark red almost rust colore
