My mother 57 year old and she is hypertensive diabetic patient. She is on metoprolol 50 mg treatment once a day. She has leg edema so chlorthalidone 12.5 mg started 1 month ago. Sunday she has palpitation and chest pain so we went trauma and there is a change in ECG so physician suggested to Coronary angiography and it was normal. Few investigations done few days ago. Coronary angiography, echo, kidney profile, venous doplar, tsh are normal. Serum potassium is slightly low 3.18 ( normal range starts with 3.50). Today I measured Blood pressure of her twice 108/51 : 1st reading She doesn't have any symptoms of hypotension like dizziness, fainting or any other symptoms. I mean to say I have asked r u feeling normal or not ? She said I am okay. Then I suggested to drink limbu Pani with salt Measured BP again after 10 minutes Reading: 102/57 Do we need to worry? When to rush for the hospital ? Which symptoms are dangourus signs for hypotension that make necessary to go hospital?
