Botox for retracted eyelid
Recently my eyes started becoming extremely uneven, assuming i have ptosis i went to see an eye doctor she said it is not ptosis rather eyelid retraction maybe due to hyperthyroidism. I did my tests and my t3 t4 and tsh is normal but tsh receptor antibodies came as 8.2 iu/l. I have my engagement in 2 weeks, i need to fix my eyes before my big event. Can I get botox for this? I am getting depressed and extremely insecure about my eyes as in photos it is more noticeable than in person.

Hi there. While it is a practical option to consider Botox for a quick fix, the outcome isn’t always very predictable and might cause asymmetry if not done by an expert.
Next Steps
It is advisable to defer the procedure until after the event unless you are able to consult an expert oculoplasty specialist beforehand

Likely thyroid eye disease–related eyelid retraction (TSH receptor Ab positive supports this even if T3/T4/TSH are normal). For your event: Botox is a reasonable temporary option to reduce lid retraction and improve symmetry. Onset is in a few days, but results are dose-dependent and can sometimes cause ptosis or asymmetry, so it should be done by an experienced oculoplastic surgeon. Meanwhile, use frequent lubricants.
Next Steps
You should get an urgent oculoplastic evaluation for planning both short term and long term management
