Standard treatment includes 2-3 cycles of chemotherapy first, followed by response assessment by scans again. Depending on those results decision can be made of removing the leg or if it's can be saved.
He will require chemotherapy followed by local treatment in terms of surgery +/- radiation therapy.
Limb can be saved depending upon response to therapy..
