MY FATHER IS 47 AND HE IS LOOSING WEIGHT VERY MUCH. SO I GOT MY FATHER'S URINE TESTED FROM A LAB AND ITS SHOWING THAT BLOOD,RBC AND PROTIENS ARE DETECTED. SOMEBODY SUGGESTED ME THAT KETONES ARE FORMING IN BODY, SO IT MAY BE DIABETES, THEN AFTER DIABETES TEST. SUGAR FASTING LEVEL IS 101. WHAT IS THE REASON OF BLOOD,RBC AND PROTIENS IN URINE IS HE DIABETIC AT 101 LEVEL ? IS IT HAPPENING BECAUSE OF DIABETES ? PLZ SUGGEST ME WHAT IS THE PROBLEM ?

Hello.... Ketone bodies in urine suggestive of uncontrolled diabetes called metabolic acidosis .. But your saying blood sugar is under control... RBCs in urine is not normally seen ,damage of glomerular membrane let rbcs in urine.... It could be due diabetic complication or secondary infection .. His renal function test is required get it done.. His blood sugar need to be monitored
