Blood sugar test during pregnancy
Hi respected doctors.. i am 29 week pregnant and the doctor has prescribed only fasting and post breakfast blood sugar test. The test came out as normal and she didn't prescribe any other tests.. however the doctor hasn't prescribed glucose tolerance test.. is it mandatory to take glucose tolerance test or only the former tests are sufficient.. thanks in advance!

There is nothing mandatory. The initial test is Blood sugar F & PP. Once they are abnormal then other tests become indicated. At the best you can have an HbA1c test done. You must have had the Glucose Challenge test in early pregnancy.
