Blood spotting after periods

Asked for Female, 28 Years

Hello, I had a pinkish fluid coming out before periods like the last part of periods then periods came and now there is spotting of blood from 5 to 6 days, I tried out the pregnancy test as I am trying for one . But it came out to be negative... Is it possible that the test can be improper?
