Greetings Since your baby is gaining weight well and has no fever, the issue is likely benign and highly manageable.A frequent cause in thriving, exclusively breastfed infants is food protein-induced proctocolitis, often reacting to dairy in the mother's diet.Another common possibility is an anal fissure, which is a tiny, harmless tear caused by straining during normal bowel movements. You may consider about temporarily eliminating all cow's milk products from your own diet for 2 to 4 weeks.

Hard passage of stool can cause mild blood in the stool. If there is visible blood in the stool kindly consult the doctor to evaluate properly. Hard stools require medicine for easy passage.

Since the baby is feeding well, gaining weight and has no fever, the commonest cause is a mild milk-protein allergy affecting the lower intestine. It is usually not dangerous and most babies outgrow it by 1 year of age. Continue breastfeeding. Mother should avoid all dairy products for 2–4 weeks and observe whether the blood disappears.
