Blood in gums afterGingivitis treatment

Asked for Male, 25 Years

Had 2 rounds of cleaning after Gingivitis detection. Still having daily bleeding of gums after 2 weeks of being treated. Although most Swelling is gone.The bleeding happens only at night for some reason. Is this normal? Possible reasons? How much time does it take to reverse this? Should I visit my doctor again?

Scaling is a procedure which removes the deposits On The Teeth which have accumulated till that date. It does not mean in any way that new deposits of plaque will not form,so meticulous oral hygiene maintenance by the patient after the procedure is equally important. You should discuss the best brushing technique with your dentist so that it can be explained to you on a model or you can search for modified Bass technique on YouTube. You can visit your dentist again to see if any deposits are remaining or there are new subgingival deposits which require another session of cleaning. Regards
