Bleeding period problems

I actually do not have insurance to see a doctor , but I’m worried . I had not had a period for a while year til last August . I bled for about two months then it stopped and didn’t have a period for about three months and every since then for the past five months I have had a period . Then two months ago I started bleeding but not on a tampon , or my underwear . It’s only when I bleed . I have never been on birth control besides once two years ago .
