I have sivere cold and caugh from past few days.went to a doctor and she gave me some tabs,citrizene and a paracetamol.now I went to blow my nose, at that time I found that on my left nostril there is no mucus and my right nostril is filled with mucus. blowed my nose, it was thick blood.. I hav recent smoking habit

Hi The bleeding from the nostril may be due to forcefully blowing. But if it is dark coloured, thick & clotted blood, it may be because of injury while picking the nose. If you find it repeatedly, consult a doctor, as it may be epistaxis
