Black spots on legs
Hello doctors.. my father is a chronic diabetic patient.. he is on diabetic medications.. his sugar levels on daily basis will be like 200-250. My question is, is his diabetics levels are uncontrolled?. If yes.. he is getting black spots on his legs since an year.. are these spots diabetic related? If no, then wat is the reason?.. and wat cud be done to treat this ?. I have included photos too. Thankyou.

It is important to control your father’s hyperglycaemia. It is most important. Need to take care of the skin lesions. As he has uncontrolled diabetes there is an increase chances of infection too.

Hello his sugars are not controlled.. For better idea get Hb1Ac which will tell us sugar control of last 6 to 8 weeks.. Targets are roughly fasting below 140 and pp below 180 These are called as diabetic demo pathy or commonly shin spots.. Its common finding in patients of diabetes due microvasuclar changes.. Treatment is mostly to control blood sugars and moisturising agents, emollients... Consult endocrinologist for his sugar control
