Black Discoloration mouth

Asked for Female, 39 Years

Having purplish black discoloration in buccal mucusa in mouth asymptomatic, can it be due to underlying hormonal cause. Can intake of thyroxine cause it. Should we have endocrine consultation.

It appears to be benign discolouration specifically when your are sans symptoms. Adrenal insufficiency can cause oral mucosa discoloration , serum cortisol can help to detect that.
