Bipolar n getting pregnant
Hello doc.. I am female 38 yrs suffering with bipolar disorder since last ten years latest on lithium n dicorate .. I wanted to know if normal pregnancy can be considered or we need to resort to IVF via surrogate for a baby.. married for eight years now..

You will have to check with your psychologist doctor if he can gradually stop or change your medicine esp dicorate to allow you to carry pregnancy.To avoid risk of malformations in the child I will suggest IVF and surrogacy as the safest option.
