She might be having diastasis recti. Please ask her to wear abdominal belt you get it in pharmacy specially for post delivery cases. Her organs and uterus needs to be supported as pregnancy causes severe abdominal muscle weakness. It takes time.. for body to get back in shape so do not hurry.
There are corrective exercises to heal the abdomen muscles post delivery. I have been through 2 pregnancies and it's my first hand experience. Now my younger one is 2 years old and now I have attained complete healing of my diastasis recti.

6 months post delivery in some cases it may take longer to return to normal. Depends on abdominal muscle strength and general fitness. Need to show to Physio to assess is it fat or muscle laxity. Then plan a proper ex's regime. Remb doing abdominal exercises is not going to get you a flat tummy.
Its no common to get tummy after 7 months of delivery if done exercises.
Check for the diet and diagnose may be its diastasis recti or not.
Following exercises will help slowly reduces belly
Cardio vascular exerxises for 30-40mins.
Performing transverse hold for strengthening of core msucles.
Squats and lunges.
Bridge position to target rectus abdominal muscles.
Planks.
Suggest you for a visit in person to perform these exercises for a week in supervision of an expert therapist so that you can do it on your own.
