BAD BREATH COMING FROM ESOPHAGUS STOMACH
Hi from last year I am facing bad taste 24 hrs and strong bad breath that goes 5-10 feets away.. I visited ENT done endoscopy for ear nose throat for rules out any infection like sinusitis nothing found .go to dentist give mouth wash for ten days. Now he said there is no infection but we need tooth cleaning and it charges at 5000-6000 Rs I am still thinking if it doesn't cure bad breath .I assume that the bad breath comes from esophagus stomach.. So my question is which conditions cause this which doctor I need to visit??? dentist or gastroenterologist?? And which test needs to done to rule out possible causes as well as pathogens/ bugs?? Please help its nightmare.

Halitosis may happen due to GERD ( GASTRO ESOPHAGEAL REFLUX DISEASE).Follow some lifestyle changes. Take your food timely. Avoid cabbage, capsicum, citrus fruits ( for a while). Don't drink water with food, take after 40 min. as much as you want thereafter. Don't lie down immediately after food. Finish your night meal by 8.30 pm maximum. Go to bed after minimum 1 hour after dinner. Always keep your stomach 1/4 th empty. You can divide your meal into 5-6 times a day. Avoid the particular food, which you observed that after taking you feel bloating, fullness, upper abdominal pain/ discomfort, reflux symptoms etc. Some times in intractable cases one need to go ahead with Upper Gastroscopy to rule out gastric ulcer/erosions and presence of H PYLORI infection.Feel free to ask any further quary related to your problem. Regards.
