I have 10 month old twins. Their pediatrician wants us to have their hips x-rayed for fear of hip displaysia. I was wondering if this is common practice, because she sees no signs of the problem, she simply wants to be sure. I do not want to expose my babies to radiation if not necessary. Can someone tell me if this is standard practice, and if you'd advise I go through with it?

When twins are in mothers womb
Then these baby's are very compactly adjusted within a very small space in mothers womb
That may some time cause hip dislocation
And if baby born with leg first then these chances increases
Hence some pediatrician will do it for concern of hip dislocation
That's all
