Gd aftn .. i m a mom of 45 days old daughter… she s too much dependent on breastfeeding .. She needs to feed for sleeping calming down soothing … She almost takes feed every 30mins … even if she falls asleep in the beeast nd if i take her to the shoulder for burping she literally cries as if she is in hunger… above all odds if i transfer her to the bed she always needs to lie only on my hands… Even if i makes her sleep in my hand as soon as she makes single movement in 5mins or 10mins she needs to be feed again … sometimes she only sucks sometimes she takes the feed … Even when she wakes up she lies on the bed only for 5-10mins … then my mom takes up on the shoulder thr she lies for another 5-10mins then she cries vigorously… i need to feed her again… hv used pacifier for some days but she was too much dependent on tat.. her weight gain nd urine output was good… i was literally sleep deprived and mentally stressed crying out all the tym. According to the weight and your history..it seems like your breast feeding time/quantity is less.....you can try two thing 1. Express your milk in a sterilized bottle and do the bottle feed 2. Measure the quantity of your milk by expressing it in a bottle ...then continue breast feeding ....it is advised that you should latch the baby at least for 20-25 min on each side For e.g. Initially for 5-10min (imaginary number) breast milk has watery secretion but following that breast produces fat water part reduces thirst...so child becomes quiet for few minutes but again cries....fat helps in increasing the sleep part and weight gain Consult for more if required thank you
