My daughter aged 8 months 1 week is having watery eyes with little discharge since yesterday. Today she is rubbing her eyes frequently due to which it has become a bit red. Everything else is normal like no fever, pee and poop also normal. No new solid food introduced in last 3-4 days. Kindly suggest what to do?

Your child is having just simple blockage of the nasolacrimal duct or allergy
You need to do duct massage first for 2 days and see if secretions decrease.
(Duct massage - pinch the nose root and massage 3 to 4 times at least for 4 times in a day)
Next Steps
Give a lubricant like moisol eye drop
4 times a day
Health Tips
If not settling with the above mentioned drops consider allergy and consult your doctor

Your daughter has got allergic conjunctivitis.
Clean the eyes with wet cotton and put eye drop olopat thrice a day and just tear drops thrive a day. Don't allow her to rub the eyes.
Looks like a mild allergy. If the discharge is watery, then you can just make sure you occasionally wipe the eye with a clean cloth and maybe start an anti-allergy/anti-histamine syrup if it persists.
If the discharge is yellow, and the eye lids stick together and some crusting is there, again wipe gently with a clean cloth and then a topical anti bacterial eye drops maybe applied to both eyes.
Also, check if she has a cold or any rashes and if anyone else in the family have the same issue.
Good she has no fevers or bowel issues.
Health Tips
make sure your hands are always clean and cloth/cotton is clean when you wipe.
