Breastfeeding is the best for your baby. No formula is superior to mothers milk. Breastfeeding has an advantage of preventing infectious diseases (eg : Respiratory infections,Diarrhoea)in the children Breastfeeding involves a complex interplay of hormones
Next Steps
1. Make sure the nipples aren’t retracted 2. Mother should be completely relaxed and peaceful as this has a important role in milk expression 3. The positioning of baby and mother is important 4. Mother should support her back with a pillow and hold the baby in her arms 5. Ideally feed the baby on one side fully and shift to alternative side, because the initial milk has good amount of water and the latter milk is rich in fat 6.Make sure your baby latches will (areoles should be in baby mouth) 7.Usually babies tend to fall in weight in the 1st 2 weeks and gradually pick up 8.
