Asymptomatic gallstones
Sir, 7 years ago i had gone through ultrasound for kidney stones then it found that there is multiple gallstones in gallbladder also..kidney stones removed and i have no any pain and symptoms regarding gallstones..should i go for surgery or wait for time...recent ultrasound shows 12mm stone bigger one..also i have IBS but currently no issue with ibs.

Gall stones can suddenly pass into your bile ducts and give jaundice or pancreatitis or infection..in this case surgery becomes emergency and more complex..better to get surgery done when you have no symptoms
