For a child, environmental pollution play a major role in respiratory diseases. Which city are you living in? Ayurvedic treatment can give great health benefits to your child. At home you can give him a pinch of turmeric powder in milk boiled with ginger. This will improve his immunity for sure. This you can continue for 3-4 mths of winter.
