Hi doctor i am ask because I am worried i had unsafe sex with the person that hiv status I do not now so I test hiv test after 30 day later from the exposure unsafe sex i had .i test hiv negative using CMIA two step immunoassay hiv1/2 antibo and p24 antigen method. Am I safe to say i am hiv negative .if so how much percentage am I safe I am ask because anxious and worried because I was sick after exposure like cough muscle and joint ache flu sore throat and lymph node under my ear. So help

As your immunoassay and p24 antigen assay are negative you need not worry about getting hiv infection. Still you can do HIV RNA PCR test after 6 weeks of exposure. If it is negative then relax
