While rabies anxiety is a psychological concern, prolonged stress and OCD-related intrusive thoughts can lead to physical symptoms like muscle tension, headaches, fatigue, and even digestive issues. Managing anxiety through relaxation techniques, posture correction, and physical activity can help alleviate these physical effects.
Next Steps
Your neurologist has confirmed no risk remind yourself of this when anxious thoughts arise. Avoid excessive checking of your foot or seeking reassurance, as this reinforces OCD behaviors. Regular exercise, yoga, or stretching helps reduce stress hormones and improve mental clarity. Techniques like progressive muscle relaxation can relieve physical symptoms of anxiety. A mental health professional, especially one specializing in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, can help with obsessive fears.
Health Tips
Avoid watching distressing videos about rabies, as they fuel anxiety. Stay hydrated and maintain good posture to prevent tension-related symptoms. If anxiety persists and affects daily life, seek professional psychological support.
