Antibiotic and pregnancy
Hello, today I'm 8 weeks pregnant and few days ago I had my first prenatal visit. The doctor stated that everything is fine with the baby however I had a virus ( did not mentioned the name of it but explained that my Ph is not balanced) and prescribed Clindamycin. I'd like to know if it's safe for me to take that during my 1st Trimester and prengnancy at all ,as well will be there any consequences if I wait till baby is delivered and start the treatment then. Thank you!

See first tell whether Clindamycin drug prescribied for vaginal infection? It's not prescribedone orally for that  vaginal pessaries are used If doctor advise you  for pessaries  it's safe in pregnancy.. For oral,  if  you are absolutely asymptamatic, shuld avoid to any antibiotics at least you cross 12wks But a detail history and investigation needed to comment on that
