Anteriorly placed anus
My 8 month old baby girl has a mild anteriorly placed ectopic anus along with a perineal groove. So far she has no issues with stool or urine and weight gain is also good.
The pediatric surgeon gave us option to either leave it open or go for a corrective surgery after baby turns 1yr
Anyone else has gone through a similar surgery? If yes how was the post op recovery and whether this surgery is mandatory

Taken another opinion from a senior Pediatric surgeon because they deal with such cases. There are likely to be complications like constipation and urinary problems later. Operation is important.
