I was prescribed "duphalac (lactulose)" for anal fissure.
I am an adult.
What is the dosage?
It has both start dosage and maintenance dosage.
It's very confusing.
Do i take it before breakfast or after dinner?

LACTULOSE can be taken from 10 ML to 30 ml.
It can be taken one hour after meals with a glass of water. It can be taken in single dose at bedtime or in two divided doses through out the day.
But it should only be taken as prescribed by your doctor because there are many conditions which can aggrevate and complicate if this medicine is taken.
Dietery modification are very important for laxatives to be effective.
