Amniotic fluid index more than 5 is not an indication of cesarean delivery...she can plan for vaginal delivery after pelvic examination..maintain hydration

Amniotic fluid index 7cm at 38 weeks is fairly ok. Mode of delivery depends on: 1. Baby's  growth 2. Baby's weight 3. Amniotic fluid 4. Placental localization, Baby's presentation 5. Doppler study 6. Bishop's score as in Pelvic examination 7. Other maternal risk factors Pls share ur latest scan report for better guidance. Do not worry. At the end, the aim should be Healthy Mother and Healthy Baby.

Amniotic fluid is very important for the baby oxygen supply.hope it is evaluated the reason for the reduction and also bevy weight and growth.if those things are fine then thee is scope for vaginal delivery and with caution ofcourse but can be tried.

For amniotic fluid 7 we aim for vaginal delivery. No need of csection unless have other issues. Maintain hydration by taking enough fluids. As it is 38 weeks u can counsult doctor for vaginal examination and further plan
