You were diabetic when your hba1c was 7.0.. however, you have managed to control it by dietary modifications and weight loss. You are now in the prediabetes range. To prevent going back to being diabetic, dietary and lifestyle modifications need to be continued. Although my advice is to visit a certified dietician for weight loss. Rapid weight loss can be harmful sometimes if not done under guidance. Also meet a diabetologist to understand about regular blood investigations needed .

You are diabetic but you have managed your blood sugar with diet and lifestyle measures which you will need to continue. Also you should periodically check ur blood sugar and other parameters. It is advisable to meet a diabetologist and a dietician to ensure your lifestyle measures are healthy in the long run
