Do dust mites vary from country to country? I was diagnosed with dust mite allergy through skin prick test in Canada few months ago but had to come back without undergoing allergy shots as treatment. Indian doctor repeated the test saying allergens are different and rather did interdermal ( no lancet) testing with syringe like that of insulin injections ( small needle). 120 allergens were injected . I am also worried of any infection due to multi dose allergen vials used on past patients too.

Hello, yes you are right. antigens quality vary from lab to lab, country to country. But your response to atopy remains fixed to particular antigen. Do not worry about pricks n infections as always sterilized new needles are used by qualified doctors n centres.
Next Steps
immunotherapy plays a very good role in control of dust mite allergy. Go for prickless sublingual immunotherapy.
