Hello, I am Dr. Romain Rajan, General Physician (Ex Govt Medical Officer at RML Hospital, New Delhi), and your case has been allotted to me. Thank you for sharing the details clearly. Short reassurance Yes, you will most likely be fine. Taking Dolo 650 and then having 4–5 small drinks after a gap of about 3 hours, spread over 5 hours, is unlikely to cause harm in an otherwise healthy person. Why this is generally safe • Paracetamol (Dolo) is metabolised over several hours • A single 650 mg dose with a time gap before alcohol is usually well tolerated • Serious liver injury typically occurs with: • High doses of paracetamol (more than 3–4 g/day) • Heavy or chronic alcohol use together, especially daily drinking What you might notice • Mild acidity or nausea • Headache or fatigue next day These usually settle on their own. What you should do now • Drink plenty of water • Avoid alcohol for the next 24–48 hours • Do not take another paracetamol dose today • Eat light food When to seek medical help • Persistent vomiting • Severe upper abdominal pain • Yellowing of eyes or dark urine • Extreme weakness or confusion If you do not have liver disease and this was a one-time situation, there is no cause for panic. For personalised one to one advice, you can reach out to me on WhatsApp at 85271646 seven seven. Wishing you good health.
