Can a 1.5 months old baby travel by flight? Is it safe? We need to travel to my hometown and my baby is one month and 22 days old.

Yes. It is safe. Avoid crowded areas. Maintain your hand hygiene. Feed the baby during ascent and descent. If baby is not accepting feeds, you can use a clean pacifier. Swallowing helps open eustachian tubes(connection between nose and ears) and equalize pressures. Call your airline and find out if you can get a helper in case you have to travel alone. Make use of other benefits offered like skipping the queues, feeding rooms where you can rest with your baby too in case of waiting time. By this, you can avoid exposure or close contact with others too. If you are formula feeding, carry your own water.

It is usually safe. Feed the baby after the initial ascent and during descent so as to keep their eustachian tubes open. Inform the airlines beforehand. Travel with adequate help.
