Air embolism
My daughter in her first trimester pregnancy was under IV for low BP. During changing the bottle, I observed that the first bottle was already empty and some air entered the vein. After 5 minutes my daughter complained pain in her chest. I immediately called the doctor. She made her sit and checked with a stethoscope and said nothing to worry. She stopped IV for some 10 minutes and continued it again. The bottled over by next half an hour. And we were sent home. Now my daughter is sleeping. She don't have any pain. Yet I am a bit worried. Is it dangerous?
