AICD is helpful or not?

Asked for Male, 52 Years

My brother is a Heart Patient, Angiography has been done and doctor saying heart muscles are weak. Dr suggesting Automatic Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator(AICD) to monitor and correct an abnormal heart rhythm. The cost of device is Rs 4 lacs. Please advise will it be helpful to go for AICD or we should not go for it. Please see attached Prescription. Thank you in advance for your help and support.

Well there are benefits of AICD in a patient like your brother with a weak pumping of the heart. It prevents sudden cardiac death due to abnormal heart fast rhythm. But yes it is a combined decision where all the pros and cons are discussed and a combined decision is arrived at about AICD implantation
