Hi ,
You did not specific what insulin your wife is taking and also if she is taking other oral medications to help control her dabetes. Please give more information to be any help.
it appears that she is taking Insulin twice daily, which is often a biphasic insulin. No matter the type of insulin one is taking, the success of the treatment depends up the amount of control it can bring to your sugar levels. The insulin she is taking at night should be able to get the morning sugar level somewhere between the range 80-130 and in the same way the morning insulin should get the evening pre-meal sugar levels to similar level. if the morning sugar level is with this range, you must continue the same amount of insulin.Hope this helps.
