After period spotting

Asked for Female, 25 Years

My partner and I have been trying to conceive, I got my period 2 days late and it only went for 4 days over the usual 6. I took a pregnancy test when it was late and it was negative. Since my period ended I've had no bleeding for 2 days but just now I've had some spotting. What could this mean?
