After covid effects smell and taste

My brother had diagnosed with covid 2 months back his smelling and tasting senses are not working the same way it used to work before, he is unable to taste the mild things like Maggie and bread butter. Will it be permanently the same or it will recover? He is so worried as he works in the food business and these both senses are his bread and butter. Is there anything he can do any medicine or yoga or something else.
